Use a Gravatar to personalise your account

SimpleServers new backend makes use of a Gravatar (http://en.gravatar.com). This would mean, if you have a Gravatar set up at WordPress.com, you’ll be able to use it here with us, and we can see each other on your ticket threads.

As you’d already know, an “avatar” is an image that represents you online – a little picture that appears next to your name when you interact with websites. A Gravatar is a Globally Recognized Avatar. You upload it and create your profile just once, and then when you participate in any Gravatar-enabled site (just like SimpleServers), your Gravatar image will automatically follow you here.

This is something that has been going on for a while, and is automatically included in every WordPress.com account. Since Gravatar support has been added to WordPress, there are millions of WordPress sites using Gravatar every day. But did you know these other sites like github, Stack Overflow, Trello, SendGrid and the likes too use Gravatar? We too are one among them now.

You can simply go to http://en.gravatar.com and set up an account, if you don’t already have one. And when you use the same email address that you registered with us here, next time you open a support ticket with us, we will see who we are talking to.
